President of the European Parliament Robert Metsola, has highlighted the fact that some of the most important lessons about Europe are not learned in classrooms, but by travelling, through conversations, shared experiences, and friendships built along the way.
Dr Metsola said that is why, once again, young people from across Europe, including Malta and Gozo, have the opportunity to explore the continent, discover new cultures, meet inspiring people, and experience what it truly means to be European.
Applications for this year’s DiscoverEU have now opened. ”If you are 18, take this chance, and if you know someone who might be interested, share this with them,” said Dr Metsola.
There are 40,000 tickets waiting. ”The journey is ready to begin.”
