Nationalist Party Leader Alex Borg said that it is ”important that our farmers continue to receive all the financial assistance they require, including through European funds, so that they can continue strengthening the natural Gozitan and Maltese product.”

Alex Borg was speaking during a visit he made this afternoon to a farm in Kercem as part of the workplace visits being organised by the PN for this year’s Workers’ Day.

The Leader of the PN had the opportunity to meet the owners and workers, while observing at first hand the work being carried out in this sector.

During the visit, Alex Borg was able to see closely the challenges facing the agricultural sector, as well as understand the importance of ensuring that this sector remains sustainable and receives all the support it requires.

The visit also served as an opportunity to emphasise the crucial role of the agricultural sector in the Gozitan economy, as well as in job creation and the strengthening of local communities.

During the visit, Alex Borg was accompanied by PN candidates for Gozo Norma Camilleri, Beppe Galea and Frank Anthony Tabone.
