The Gozo Business Chamber has participated in a round table meeting organised in Gozo with a delegation of Ambassadors, headed by His Excellency Professor Stephen Montefort, High Commissioner of Malta to the UK.
During the meeting, Daniel Borg, CEO of the Gozo Business Chamber, accompanied by Michael Galea, President of the Gozo Business Chamber, delivered a presentation on business in Gozo, focusing on the island’s current economic realities and future potential.
The presentation highlighted the need for Gozo to continue widening its economic base by strengthening existing sectors while developing new areas of higher value-added activity. Particular focus was placed on emerging opportunities in:
aviation and drone logistics
digital innovation and technology
health, medical education and medtech-related activity
investment, research and enterprise collaboration
The Chamber said it also showcased a number of success stories from Gozo, including companies and institutions which demonstrate the island’s potential to attract talent, investment and innovation.
The Gozo Business Chamber concluded by saying that it ”remains committed to promoting Gozo as a distinct regional economy with strong potential for sustainable growth, international collaboration and economic diversification.”
