The Philatelic Bureau of MaltaPost will be issuing the third set of the series entitled ‘Occasions’ on Wednesday, the 17th of March 2010. On public request, this set has been designed with a broad selection of stamps to cater for a wider choice of occasions.

The company said that the previous editions of this series have been very popular adding a personal touch to invitations for that special occasion and that franking a postal item with an Occasions stamp is an ideal way to mark and celebrate a special occasion such as births, weddings, birthdays, sending greetings to friends and loved ones, commemorating a company anniversary or event.

These Occasions stamps are often accompanied by a se-tenant personalised stamp, as senders choose to further personalise their wishes by attaching their favourite images to a stamp.

The 8 stamps of this set were designed by Sean Cini and have values of Euro 0.19 (7stamps) and Euro 0.37 (1 stamp). The stamps are 44.0mm x 31.0mm of size with a perforation of 13.9 x 14.0 (comb). The stamps are printed on a Maltese Crosses watermarked paper by Printex Limited and are available in sheets of 10.
