President Myriam Spiteri Debono has appointed Natalino Caruana De Brincat and Renata Farrugia as Magistrates to the Inferior Courts.

The appointment of the two new Magistrates to the judiciary followed the submission of four candidates for the President’s consideration, the Office of the President said in a statement.

The candidates had been selected from among 17 applicants who expressed interest in the position by the Judicial Appointments Committee and were presented in two separate groups.

The President congratulated the newly appointed Magistrates and thanked the members of the Judicial Appointments Committee for the work they have carried out.
