Lidl Gozo will be opening its doors for the first time at the new store in Xewkija, this coming Thursday, the 13th of March, with large queues expected on the day.

The application for the construction of the Lidl store on a 4,800 square metre site bordering Victoria and Xewkija, had been fraught with controversy from the very beginning, with protests from environment groups, as well as businesses in the surrounding areas.

Planning permission was finally granted by the MEPA Board last February.

Lidl store on the Maltese Islands stores are open all day from Monday to Saturday:

Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 19:00, Every Friday: 07:00 – 22:00 and Saturday: 07:00 – 20:00.
