Registered full-time employment up 4.7% in January

National Statics data released today show that registered full-time employment totalled 305,372 in January, an increase of 4.7% over the same month in 2025.
Part-time as a primary job amounted to 36,228, an increase of 6.1% when compared to the same period in 2025.
The NSO noted that private sector full-time employment went up by 5.0% over a period of one year reaching 249,598 and by 0.4% when compared to December.
Public sector full-time employment increased by 3.5% since January 2025, totalling 55,754.
As compared to January 2025, the NSO said that full-time employment for both males and females went up by 4.7% amounting to 183,885 and 121,487 respectively. Full-time employment for both males and females increased by 0.4% on the previous month
