The Gozo Regional Development Authority (GRDA) has participated at the 13th European Urban Resilience Forum held in Guimaraes, Portugal.
The forum focused on exploring integrated approaches to climate resilience that move beyond adaptation.
City representatives, experts, and stakeholders from local and regional institutions convened in the city designated as European Green Capital for 2026 with the shared goal of advancing strategies, initiatives, and actions on climate change adaptation, disaster risk management, and the strengthening of urban resilience.
Dr Christian Zammit, on behalf of the GRDA, was invited to address the panel dealing with water security in small, insular and climate-vulnerable communities, along with colleagues from Syros (Greece), La Palma (Spain), Culatra (Portugal), Samsø (Denmark) and Azores (Portugal).
