Data released today by the National Statistics Office show that registered full-time employment totalled 306,386 in February, an increase of 4.4% over the same month in 2025 and by 0.3% on the previous month.

Part-time as a primary job amounted to 36,472, an increase of 6.7% when compared to the same period in 2025 and by 0.7% on the previous month.

The NSO noted that private sector full-time employment went up by 4.6% over a period of one year reaching 250,429 and by 0.3% when compared to January.

Public sector full-time employment increased by 3.7% since February 2025, totalling 55,957 and by 0.3% compared to the previous month.

As compared to February 2025, the NSO said that full-time employment for both males and females went up by 4.4% amounting to 184,434 and 121,952 respectively. Full-time employment for males and females increased by 0.3% and 0.4% respectively on the previous month
