Opposition Spokesperson for Gozo, Frank Tabone, met this week with the Gozo Tourism Association (GTA), where they had ”an open and constructive exchange of ideas on strategic themes that are crucial for the future of tourism and the economy of Gozo.”

Tabone said that ”this meeting further confirmed my belief that Gozo has great potential that we still need to exploit with vision, serious planning and working hand in hand with all those who are contributing daily to the strengthening of the tourism sector.”

He stressed that ”tourism is not only a pillar of our economy; it is the source of livelihood for thousands of Gozitan families and businesses. Therefore, we have a responsibility to ensure that this sector continues to grow sustainably, with more quality, more investment and more opportunities.”

”As the Opposition Spokesperson for Gozo, I will continue to maintain an ongoing dialogue with the GTA and other organisations, so that we can listen, propose and work together towards a policy that puts the interests of Gozo and Gozitans first,” said Frank Tabone.
