Last Sunday, the 21st of March 2010, Radio Lehen il-Qala, had a surprise for their listeners and fans when Thea Garrett, the Maltese ambassador for Eurovision paid a visit to the radio studios.

Thea, who was invited by the radio administration for an interview, was given a very warm welcome by those present in the studio’s waiting room. Full of energy and enthusiasm, the radio team said that Thea enjoyed every minute of her visit. She took various photos with those present and also signed postcards.

During the interview Thea talked about the dream she is living. She explained the underway preparations for the festival including the choice of backing vocals and the dress. The honest character of the young singer was clearly evident during her time at the studio. At the end of the interview, Ruth Portelli, another finalist in the Maltasong for Europe, joined Thea in the studio.

Thea also signed the visitors’ book and also posed for an official photo with members of the administration.

The Radio Lehen il-Qala administration wishes to publicly thank Thea Garrett for accepting the invitation to visit their studios and wish her the very best of luck for her career, particularly for her big night in the Eurovision.
