Carcade to Gozo carrying painting of our Lady of Ta’ Pinu

This morning at 10am, the painting of our Lady of Ta’ Pinu will be taken in procession from the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Valletta to the Mosta Parish Church. At 6.30pm a Prayer Vigil will take place at the church and will be led by Archbishop Paul Cremona.
On Friday children from various schools of Malta have visited Mosta Church where there will be prayers said for them. At 3pm a carcade with the painting will leave Mosta accompanied by Archbishop Paul Cremona and the Apostolic Nuncio to Malta Mgr. Tommasso Caputo. The carcade then leaves at 4.30pm on Gozo Channel’s Ta’ Pinu ferry and arrives at 5.00pm at Mgarr.
The Curia has asked the faithful to accompany the carcade and pilgrims who are wishing to travel across without a car will be able to travel free. At Mgarr the Bishop of Gozo, Mgr Mario Grech, will welcome there arrival and a short speech will take place. From there they will travel via Ghajnsielem, Xewkija, Victoria and Ghasri
The carcade will arrive at the Sanctuary of Ta’ Pinu at around 6.30 pm, where there will be a solemn celebration led by Bishop Mario Grech, Mgr Paul Cremona Archbishop and the Apostolic Nuncio Mgr Caputo Tommasso.
