Sannat Local Council organises first ever ‘Notte Scarlata’

Sannat Local Council is organising for the first time ‘Notte Scarlata,’ which promises to be a spectacular event, to be held on the 4th, 5th and 6th of June.
The entertainment over the three days will include cultural walks, a medieval dinner, Traditional folk music, a Grand Master Re-Enactment, live bands, exhibition on The village of St Margaret, Sannat Aquariums, A Night with the Musicals, fireworks, food, free children’s area, music & much more.
4th June
Illumination of the main square and surrounding areas. The inauguration of ‘Notte Scarlata.’ Exhibition opening of The village of St.Margaret. A live concert with the participation of soprano Georgina Gauci accompanied by Terry Shaw. This will be followed by a reception.
5th June
Inauguration of the Sannat Aquariums. A Historical Re-Enactment with Parade of Grand Master Perellos, by the Xaghra Re- Enactment Organisation. Medieval Dinner with the participation of ‘Daqqaqa’ u Sinnet Folk Group.’ Open stalls. Free childrens area. A Live Band night featuring Val Valente till late.
6th June
Bandu, opening of Stalls, lace making, carving, pastries, plants, a ‘Horse Defile’ starting from Sannat Road, Blessings, Historical Guided Tour on foot by Heritage Malta, visiting Ta’ Cenc, Mgarr ix-Xini and the Limestone. A show with the falcons, a musical programme by ‘Santa Margerita Band,’ Dramm Ras in-Newwiela u li ‘l hinn minnha by Ghaqda Drammtika Sannat. Live youth band featuring Synergy. Notte Scarlata will conclude with a Spectacular Ground Fireworks.
