This morning more than 220 students celebrated their Graduation Day. They have all in the last year attended year-six classes in the eleven primary schools within the Gozo College

This was the third year that the Gozo College held this event, which was attended by many parents and familiesof the young graduates. They were able to see some of the students give various demonstrations of dancing, singing and music. The students were also presented with a certificate that symbolises the end of the first phase in the journey of their education. At the end of the activity, the students joined together and perfomed a medley of songs.

The Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, said that all the schools in Gozo were working towards further modernisation as regards fixtures and painting, changing sanitary facilities and other structural changes to ensure better use of the space available..

From this school year, the students of primary schools in Gozo, started to have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities, organised by the Section of Special Activities within the Gozo College. These activities include, among others, walks around areas of interest in Gozo and a Comino excursion, are within a programme of formative education, which seeks to foster in students, an interest in a practical, healthy lifestyle and the complete development of the person.
