Vodafone have announced their new email solution, based on the Microsoft® ActiveSync® push technology, Vodafone Mobile Exchange delivers instant updates and secure access to emails, contacts and calendars to a variety of smartphones without the need for extra servers or middleware. It is compatible with a wide range of smartphones and meets the needs of a variety of levels within an organisation.

“Vodafone’s mobile email solution is a simple and cost efficient way of helping businesses and professionals mobilise their existing Microsoft Exchange Server,” said Rachael Demicoli, Marketing Executive from Vodafone Malta. “It also offers individuals who want to keep in touch with private commitments online, fast and easy access to personal information. Vodafone said that the system is as simple as texting, users can easily edit information on their handset or PC. If handsets are lost or stolen, it is easy to recover personal information and transfer it to a replacement device.

The company went on to say that their customers can add Mobile Email to their current price plans for a fixed monthly cost. The iphone bundle is offered at €20 monthly with a data bundle of 3GB, whilst the best Liberty add-on for Vodafone Mobile Exchange on any other smartphone is Liberty Silver at €15 for 2GB.
