The Gaulitanus Choir took part in the celebrative mass of newly ordained priest Rev. Maximillian Grech, which was held recently at the Gozo Cathedral.

The choir was flanked by the Chorus Ecclesiae Cathedralis and were accompanied by an orchestra led by Marcelline Agius and directed by Mro. Colin Attard. The soloists who took part during the mass were soprano Joan Mangion, mezzo-soprano Connie Frances Zerafa, tenor Charles Vincenti and bass Noel Galea. Rev. Joseph Calleja sang the responsorial psalm.

There were several pieces animated in the liturgy, including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Kronungmesse (Coronation Mass) KV 317, as well as excerpts from Mozart’s antiphon Veni Sancte Spiritus KV 47.
