San Lawrenz Council receives more funds from the EU

The San Lawrenz Local Council has said that the project of the restoration of the church façade is well underway and it is now working on being able to acquire more funds to be able to commence other projects for the benefit of the local residents as well as visitors to San Lawrenz..

The Local Council went on to say that it recently acquired more than seven hundred thousand euro to implement another large project, which, this time, will affect every part of the village. The works consists of the restoration of the 14 alleys which are scattered around varous parts of the village, the square project and the building of rubble walls at the lower part of Triq Wied Merill.

These projects will join a series of other works that are currently being carried out in the village. The council said that these projects are contributing for the regeneration of the village and that in the near future the council would be presenting a report that will give in detail ways of how the locality can become more sustainable.

The Local Council said that it intends to commence the alley project as soon as possible so that it can then implement the square project.
