The Former Prime Minister Dom Mintoff was admitted to the Mater Dei Hospital earlier this evening.

The Department of Information has said that Mr Mintoff, 94, will be kept in hospital for observation and to undergo tests.

The Labour Party issued a statement this evening wishing Mr Mintoff a speedy recovery. The statement went on to say that the Labour Party was monitoring the situation, having been told that he is in a stable condition.
