A visiting German tourist is in a critical condition after getting into difficulties whilst diving at ix-Xatt l-Ahmar near Ghajnsielem.
Police said the 45-year-old man encountered serious problems whilst resurfacing from his dive at around 3.30pm this afternoon.
The man was rushed to the Gozo General Hospital by ambulance for immediate treatment.
