The Wirt Ghawdex committee has said that it’s next free lecture will be held on Friday, October the 8th 2010.

The title of the lecture is "Wartime Gozo – the social aspect" and it will be delivered in English, by Mr Charles Bezzina, who is the author of several books on this subject. It will be held at the Conference Hall, Ministry for Gozo, Victoria and will start at 6.30pm.

There will also be two lectures taking place in November:

· Friday, November the 12th, 2010 – "In Search of the Fougasses of Gozo" by Dr Stephen C. Spiteri who is a leading expert in fortifications and defences. At 6.30pm at the Cittadella Centre for Culture and Arts, Cittadella

· Friday, November the 21, 2010st- Talk/Walk – Three Friaries Three Peculiarities by Godwin Vella

· A walking lecture of the three friaries in Victoria – homes to the Capucchins, the Franciscans and the Augustinians. More details of meeting place and time will be advised as soon as they are finalized.

Wirt Ghawdex said that all these lectures are bound to be of great interest to everyone. As usual, they are all free and everyone is warmly invited to attend.
