Update: The Xaghra Local Council has said that the annual hill climb races, which were due to be held   by the Island Car Club, will take place in their locality, last Sunday, the 24th of October, was cancelled due to the bad weather. It will now take place next Sunday, the 31st of October. The race event starts at 7.00am and and will finish at around 3.30pm.

The Council advises that the main entry to the village, i.e. 8th September Avenue, will be closed during these races. Anyone wishing to enter Xaghra Village by car should use the entrances from Mielha Street, Ghajn Damma Street, San Marzjal Street or Sellum Street.

The Local Council said that it also wishes to thank residents in advance for their cooperation.
