Gozo Bishop Mario Grech celebrated Mass for youngsters at St.Augustine square, Victoria, in preparation for World Youth Day 2011.

During the homily Mgr Grech urged youths to participate in World Youth Day, to be held in Madrid, Spain, between August 16 and 21. There they would gain valuable experience that might help them respond to questions related to truth, the Bishop said.

Richard Grech of Victoria, recounted his experience of his participation in World Youth Day held in Cologne,Germany, in 2005. The Mass was animated by the Don Bosco Oratory youth band and dancers.

The event was organised by the Gozo Youth Diocesan Commission and the Don Bosco Oratory.

The last apparition of Our Lady of Fatima was marked at Ta’Hamet church on Wednesday October 13 at 5 p.m.with a concelebrated mass by Gozo Bishop, Mgr. Mario Grech and with a procession with the Diocesan Statue of Our Lady of Fatima.

Fr Maximillian Grech, who was ordained priest this year, is being presented with a token from Annabelle Zammit on behalf of the Cathedral Youth Choir. Fr Max used to form part of the Cathedral Youth Choir before he was admitted to the Gozo Major Seminary in Victoria, Gozo to become priest.
