Bank of Valletta is supporting ‘The Curious,’ an art exhibition by Dominique Ciancio. A total of 20 works, mainly featuring local and Mediterranean settings, will be on display at the Cittadella Centre for Culture and Arts, in Victoria Gozo.

Charles Azzopardi, Manager Marketing at Bank of Valletta met Mr Ciancio during his preparations prior to the exhibition. “It is really fascinating to see such beautiful works of art that have been executed using relatively old painting techniques and that make use of highly specific materials. The resulting paintings enjoy a unique dimension. We are pleased to be part of this endeavour that supports such young, local talent,” said Mr Azzopardi.

In his appreciation for the Bank’s support, the artist gave some background related to his work. “This solo exhibition reflects the diversity of experiences that my career has gone through so far. These paintings are mostly about composing a visual poetry about life’s own experiences and aim to take the audience into a different world.”

The paintings will be on display at the Cittadella in Gozo between the 6th of November and the 13th of December, 2010 from 10am to 3pm. During weekends and public holidays, the exhibition will be open between 11am and 3pm.
