The Malta Environment and Planning Authority (MEPA) Board said it has approved an outline development permit for the redevelopment of the Buskett Forest Aparthotel in the area known as Ta’ Sabbat limits of Buskett. The proposed redevelopment of this dilapidated building which was constructed in the early 70’s will have a smaller footprint than the existing building there is today.
The outline permit explicitly restricts the applicant from sprawling outside the existing built up area, cannot have multi-ownership and must maintain the existing height limitation.
The application, which falls outside the Natura 2000 and bird sanctuary boundaries, was rigorously screened and assessed by the Environment Protection Directorate in terms of the EU Habitats Directive and the EIA Regulations.

What is happening to this hotel.? Is it under renovation??? Was a great place in the late eighties!!!
Yes it was a great place one of the best holidays I’ve had.
Peter and Agnus Borg who owned it were fantastic their son Victor looked after the car hire and Michelle was only about 10 year old me and my brother use to take her with us for days out.
I wish i could find out what happened to them, if anyone does know how to get in touch with them please send me a email.
Hopefully the permit also calls for the removal of that hideous green paint.
