Enemalta Corporation’s Deputy Chairperson, Mr. William Spiteri Bailey, has been appointed Acting Chairperson of the Corporation. This appointment will take effect from 1st January 2011 until the appointment of a new Chairperson.

Mr. Edmund Gatt Baldacchino had been appointed Acting Chairperson of the Corporation on 1st June, on a temporary basis until a replacement for Ing. Alex Tranter was found. Due to his personal business commitments, Mr. Gatt Baldacchino is unable to continue contributing the necessary time required by such an important Corporation.

Tonio Fenech, Minister of Finance, the Economy and Investment, thanked Mr. Gatt Baldacchino for his dedication and efforts on Enemalta’s Board of Directors throughout the past five years, first as a member, eventually as a Deputy Chairperson and finally as Acting Chairperson.
