A 66-year old British man, Jack Wright, was this morning granted bail after being accused of greivously injuring his wife, who is also British, during a domestic dispute on New Year’s Eve, at their home in Ghajnsielem.

The woman had suffered severe head injuries and had been transferred from the Gozo General Hospital to Mater Dei for treatment, where her condition has since improved.

Mr Wright was granted bail against a personal gurantee of €10,000.
