The feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul celebrated in Marsalforn reaches its climax between Friday 21st and Tuesday 25th January 2011 according to the following schedule of events:

Friday 22nd January: Last Day of Triduum.

5.30pm: Solemn Vespers.

6.00pm: Solemn Concelebrated Mass led by Rev. Archpriest Reuben Micallef with the participation of the Zebbug Parish Choir ‘Regina Angelorum’ under the direction of Ms. Jacqueline Cefai.

Saturday 22nd January: Feast of Saint Publius, the first Bishop of Malta. Eve of the Solemn Feast.

5.15pm: Solemn Translation of the Relic of Saint Paul led by Rev Mgr Giovanni Bosco Gauci, Vicar General of the Gozo Diocese. This translation will be followed by the Solemn Celebration of First Vespers.

6.00pm: Solemn Concelebrated Mass led by Rev. Mgr Giovanni Bosco Gauci and animated by the orchestra under the direction of Mro. Colin Attard.

7.00pm: Inauguration of the ‘flame of faith’ on the church parvis.

Sunday 23rd January: Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul.

8.00am, 10.00am and 11.00am: Masses with homily.

4.00pm: Solemn Vespers led by Mgr Carmelo Refalo, Xaghra Archpriest, together with the Reverend Chapter and Clergy of the Xaghra Collegiate Basilica. The Nativitas Choir of Xaghra, accompanied on the organ by Ivan Attard, animates the Vespers.

4.00pm: Festive Band Marches by the Victory Band of Xaghra (A.D. 1898) and Santa Marija Band of Zebbug (A.D. 1995).

4.45pm: Procession with the titular statue of Saint Paul along the main streets of Marsalforn bay accompanied by the two guest music societies and aerial fireworks.

6.30pm: Solemn Pontifical Mass led by H.E. Mgr Mario Grech, Bishop of Gozo. The liturgy will be animated by the Chorus Unda Maris under the direction of Mrs. Carmen Cini.

Afterwards, there will be the recitation of the traditional Kurunella, singing of Antiphon and Eucharistic Benediction.

Monday 24th January: Eve of the Solemn Liturgical Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul.

5.30pm: Solemn First Vespers, Kurunella, Antiphon and Eucharistic Benediction.

6.00pm: Solemn Mass led by Rev. Canon Joseph Cini with an occasional homily.

Tuesday 25th January: Liturgical Solemnity of the Conversion of Saint Paul.

5.30pm: Solemn Second Vespers, Kurunella, Antiphon and Eucharistic Benediction.

6.00pm: Solemn Mass led by Rev. Canon Michael Borg, Rector of the Church, and animated by the Nativitas Choir of Xaghra under the direction of organist Ivan Attard.
