The stories covered in this weeks issue are:
1. The Gozo College was host to 24 Italian educators who were partners with the College in a Comenius Regio project. In this regional project, the first of its kind in Malta and Gozo, the Maltese participants were Gozo College Victoria Primary, Victoria Local Council and Victoria Wanderers Football Club. The seminar was held at the new Gozo College Boys’ Secondary School.
2. Artist Mary Portelli exhibited mosaic works made out of broken crockery and other discarded items. She gave a demonstration at the exhibition hall in St. Francis Square, Victoria, of how mosaic work is done, and at the same time children had the opportunity to try out this old craft.
3. Children attending Xaghra primary school, together with their teachers, recently took part in a programme of activities on the occasion of Arbor Day. The activity was marked by the planting of trees in the school garden by Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono and four Year VI students, while other students planted seedlings of native trees.
4. Students who attend classes of Year 2 and Year 3 of the Bishop’s Conservatory in Victoria, were taken on an educational tour at the Citadel.
