Melita added that its mobile rates remain the cheapest in the market and the company has successfully challenged the market status quo and brought prices down. This is recognised both by the MCA in its latest Annual report and by the European Commission.

Melita Mobile has recently confirmed that its shareholders invested a further Eur4.5 million in its operations. This capital injection follows the investment in coverage made in 2010 that has been completed and has helped to bring coverage in line with other operators in Malta. Customer satisfaction is increasing and calls related to coverage now account to less than 0.05%.
