The Civil Protection Department is responsible for assisting in the collection of humanitarian aid which is being sent to Libya. It will therefore be coordinating donations made by the Maltese public to enable the purchase of much needed medicines to be sent to the Libyan people.

The medicines purchased will be delivered to Libya with the co-ordination of the Armed Forces of Malta.
