The Teatru tal-Opra Aurora is hosting ‘The Dream,’ an epic dance-show to be staged on Saturday, May the 7th 2011, produced by the Naupaca Dance Academy.

With the simplicity of being just a little girl’s dream, The Dream show is set to convey the weirdness, the fantasy and all that dreams bring about. It will be whizzing its audience into a kaleidoscope of imagination, discovered and expressed through dance. In fact, this breathtaking voyage emulates a child’s dream-filled night, which constantly changes mood, colour and rhythm as it sashays from one dream to another.

The spacious Aurora stage will provide the ideal setting to host not only dancers but also ghosts, angels and aliens. Therefore the show promises a feeling of awe and wonder, seasoned with extreme emotions which range from spookiness to celestial peace. In the most unpredicted manner, the audience is set to travel in this dream from the highest skies, to the deepest seas as the skies and seas are neighboured on stage! Powered with special effects and a most exceptional stagecraft, one is only allowed to wander as much as his imagination permits, as in dreams lays no logic and no law of physics holds!

Naupaca Dance Academy was established in 2004 consisting of talented dancers, teachers and choreographers hailing from different backgrounds. They come together to portray the best abilities and pass on a meaningful message through the art of dance. To its credit, the Naupaca prides itself of Wondergold (2005), April1912 (2006) and the megahit production Uniting Diversity, Dancing out discrimination (2008) amongst others.

With a cast that surpasses the 350 participants, ‘The Dream’ will be presented at the Aurora Theatre in Victoria, Gozo, on Saturday, May the 7th 2011.
