The stories covered in this weeks issue are:

1. The 42nd edition of the Festival Marjan was held last at the Oratory Don Bosco, Victoria. Eighteen singers and five choirs participated in this song festival which is organized by the Legion of Mary.Bishop Mario Grech delivered a short speech and presented the trophies to the winners. These included Diana Formosa, Rebecca Bonello, Godwin and Matthew Cini and the choir White Roses from Zebbug. The festival was dedicated to the memory of Bishop Nikol Cauchi who passed away last November. It was through his initiative that this festival started being held on an annual basis. It is now the longest running song festival in Gozo.

2. Two clsses, Yr 5 and Yr 6 from St Theresa School, Kercem recently went on an educational outing to Malta. At the President’s Palace in Valletta, they visited the Parliament, the Chamber of Tapestries, the State Rooms and the Armoury.
