Nature Trust (Malta) has said that vandals seem to be targeting the new indication road signs for Xrobb L-Ghagin park causing damage and removing these signs on a regular basis. The Phase 1 of the Park was officially opened last month by the Hon Prime Minister. This was a joint project between Nature Trust (Malta) Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs, HSBC Malta and the University of Malta and was partly funded by the Norway and EEA Funding mechanisim.

“Since opening its gates the park has been receiving many visitors everyday together with hundreds of school children on a regular basis,” NTM said.

NTM went on to say that the signs were set up to help visitors find the park easily. Vandals seem to enjoy removing these signs which are being replaced all the time. Police reports are to be filed on such incident.

Nature Trust (Malta) concluded by saying “it condemns such acts by irresponsible individuals who are causing a lot of inconvenience to visitors and students alike.”
