The Ministry for Gozo has issued a report that was commissioned to analyse the current situation, as well as advise on strategies, in relation to job creation and improving human resource skills in Gozo. This paper was presented at a meeting organised by the Ministry for Gozo with representatives of constituted bodies in Gozo.

The Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, said how three of the measures mentioned in the report are implemented in the eco-Gozo action plan and that the report will also prove to be a useful tool for other measures that are to be undertaken in the coming months.

The Ministry went on to say that this report was based on studies that analysed situations present in 12 areas, including among others the recent development in the labour market as well as the economic and demographic development on the island, results in the educational sector and consultations with representatives from various economic fields.

The Ministry said that the exercise was carried out in line with details drawn up in the eco-Gozo action plan.
