For the second year, Wirt Ghawdex will be participating in World Tourism Day organised by the Malta Tourism Authority.

This year, Wirt Ghawdex will open the heritage site of the Gunpowder Magazine/Silos at the Cittadella for visitors from 11:00 to 16:00. There will be free entrance and free tours of the site. The Folklore Museum at the Cittadella will also be open from 9.00am to 5.00pm.

Wirt Ghawdex is also organising a fund-raising dinner on Friday, September the 30th, as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations. The event will be held on the Low Battery at the Gunpowder Magazine site, Cittadella and will include aperitif and appertisers on arrival, pasta buffet with a variety of pasta dishes/sauces, cake and coffee, a glass of wine is also included. Additional drinks can be purchased from the cash-bar on site.

The event will get underway at 7.30pm with a nostalgic repertoire by Soprano Rosabelle Pavia who will be accompanied by Joseph Engerer on guitar. The rest of the evening entertainment will be by the Harvey & Jackson Duo who will provide music both during and after dinner.

The price for the evening of food and entertainment is members €15 and no-members €18. Everyone is warmly invited to attend.
