An exhibition of paintings by Walter Coccetta is being held at the Cittadella Centre for Culture and Arts, in Victoria, as part of a project coordinated by the 54th Biennale of Venice.
Walter Coccetta, who is well known to the Maltese public, having worked and set up exhibitions in Malta during a two-year stay on the island, loves to move freely around the various artistic techniques, from oil to fresco, aiming at an informal style where the main roles are entrusted to gestures and materials.
The exhibition, which also marks the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, was inaugurated by Frederick Azzopardi, Parliamentary Assistant within the Ministry for Gozo and will remain open until Saturday, the 15th of October.
