Reports are being made by the Commanders for Libya’s transitional government that say ousted leader, Col Gaddafi has been captured.

This news came after the forces had claimed complete control of Sirte, following weeks of fierce fighting.

There were reports in the Arab media that he died after suffering wounds to the legs, but it still remains unclear as to Gaddafi’s fate and if he is now dead or alive.

Freedom fighters in Sirte have said that they will only believe it by seeing either his body, or footage of his capture.
