The Accountant General announces the issue Government stocks for November of:
a) € 100,000,000 Fixed-Rate Malta Government Stocks subject to an over-allotment option of an additional sum of € 44,000,000; and
b) € 24,000,000 Floating Rate Malta Government Stock,
as follows:-
Fixed-Rate MGSs (i) 4.25% Malta Government Stock 2017(III) Fungibility Issue, and
(ii) 5.2% Malta Government Stock 2031 (I), or any combination of the above two Stocks which in the aggregate shall be Euro 100,000,000.
Applications open on Monday 14th November, 2011 at 8.30 a.m. and close on the time and dates as hereunder, or earlier at the discretion of the Accountant General:
• at 5.00 p.m. on Wednesday 16th November, 2011 for applications by any single and/or joint applications which in the aggregate do not exceed Euro100,000 per person, and
• at 12.00 (noon) on Friday 18th November, 2011 for applications in the form of sealed bids (auction).
The price for each Stock at (i) and (ii) above, offered for subscription by members of the public shall be established on Thursday 10th November, 2011. Such price shall be announced to the Malta Stock Exchange and published in the daily local newspapers and through a Press Release by the Department of Information (DOI).
Floating Rate MGS
(iii) Floating Rate Malta Government Stock 2014 (V) linked to the six-month Euribor.
Applications in the form of sealed bids (auction) for a minimum of € 250,000 open on Wednesday 16th November, 2011 at 8.30 a.m. and close at noon on Friday 18th November, 2011 or earlier at the discretion of the Accountant General.
The allotment results of the three stocks to applicants whose applications are in the form of sealed bids (auction) will be determined and announced within two hours immediately after the closing time of applications by auction.
Application forms may be obtained from and lodged at, all members of the Malta Stock Exchange and other authorised Investment Service Providers. Application forms may also be downloaded from the Treasury website with effect from Friday 11th November, 2011.
