This event also promotes sustainable waste reduction across European countries and urges changes in the habits of Europeans (production, consumption) in everyday life. Another aim is to instill awareness about waste reduction regulations and about its policies of the European Union. It serves as an informational week for everyone, to make a change for a better future. Waste Serv is the official organiser in Malta of this European Event.

This coming Friday, the 25th of November, the Local Council in collaboration with the Gozo College Xaghra Primary is organising an activity for Year 5 children as part of the ‘Clean Up the World’ campaign. Fifteen children are going to participate.

On Saturday the 26th of November, the Council in collaboration with Electrowaste Malta Limited will organise a session during which unwanted clothes will be collected.
