Students ‘Health and Well-Being Campaign’ in Paceville

The Health and Well-Being Campaign is a priority in the work of the Student Health Committee 2011-2012. The Student Health Committee is made up of a group of students from different student associations, Kunsill Studenti Universitarji (KSU), Malta Medical Students’ Association (MMSA), Malta Pharmacy Students’ Association (MPSA) Malta Health Students’ Association (MHSA, Malta University Sports Club (MUSC), Youth for the Environment (Y4TE), Students for Healthy Living (SFHL) and Greenhouse that joined forces to organize health-oriented campaigns, seminars and to take a stand on several health issues.
The first event will take place this Saturday, the 17th of December in Paceville Square, St. Julians. A stand will be located and glowsticks will be given. A photo event will be at the stand where people can take a photo with a picture related to the topic, and these will be posted on the Facebook page. The best photo will win a 6 month membership at the University gym, kindly provided by MUSC.
The aims of this campaign are to: –
Increase awareness about drugs and smoking,
-promote dialogue and exchanges of best practice through the media. This project embraces the direct and indirect effects.
-instill a sense of interest in the topic.
