The Gozo Horse Racing Association held the final of the annual sponsorship Baileys Feeds Cup at Ta’ Xhajma Horse Racing track on Sunday.

During the 6th meeting which included 10 races with three cups (5) C/D 2100metre, (7) A1 2100metre and (9) A\B 2100metre, all sponsored by Baileys.

The results were:

Race 5 – C/D 2100 metre Baileys Feeds Cup

1st Madiden Flash – driver Paskalino Cefai

2nd L”Echo de Cerpi – driver Joseph Mercieca

3rd Tap Dancing – driver Carmel Cauchi

Race 7 – A1 2100 metre Baileys Feeds Cup

1st Melino du Rib – driver Carmel Debono

2nd Bonus Kall – driver Karl Caruana

3rd Janitor – driver Carmel Cauchi

Race 9 – A\B 2100 metre Baileys Feeds Cup

1st Mealington – driver Karl Caruana

2nd Tip Tip Tap – driver Mario Bugeja

3rd Victory Farming – driver Peter Paul Said

These finals follow the heats held during the 5th meeting on New Year’s Day.

The Gozo Horse Racing Association’s Chairman David Apap Agius thanked the sponsors. “This is one of Gozo Horse Racing annual calendar event not just for the horse racing enthusiasts but also for those who follow our competitions on a regular basis. Baileys Feeds Cup also attract more spectators to the Ta’ Xhajma Complex,” he said.

The Association said that it “appreciates the support especially, by the Gozo horse owners, the Maltese owners which are getting more familiar with the Xhajma Complex, horse racing enthusiasts and all spectators.
