Former Prime Minister Dom Mintoff admitted to Mater Dei

Update: Former Prime Minister Dom Mintoff was admitted to Mater Dei Hospital earlier today, with suspected heart symptoms.
The medical team at Mater Dei who are treating the former Labour Leader, has this afternoon described his condition “as critical, after being diagnosed with a severe chest infection and heart failure.”
Dom Mintoff, who is 95, was in hospital in Gozo last October after being taken ill with a bout of pneumonia on a visit to the island.
