The Port and Transport Section of the UHM has this evening suspended the industrial action ordered against Gozo Channel, following a solution which was in agreement with all sides

“This came after a number of meetings held between the UHM, led by President Jesmond Bonello, Josef Vella Secretary General and Secretary of the Port and Transport Section of the UHM Martin Caruana. and Management of the Gozo Channel with the constant asistance of Finance Minister Tonio Fenech along with the PACBU,” the union said.

The union concluded that the new package had been explained to the committee that represents the Gozo Channel workers and will be put to the employees of the company over the next few days.

The union thanked all those who had supported the action.
