APS Bank has once again teamed up with Agenzija Zghazagh to extend the Youth Specialisation Studies Scheme (YSSS). This unique offer gives the opportunity to young students to avail themselves of a soft loan to assist them further in their first degree, post-graduate studies abroad or follow an academic course by distance learning.
Applicants may apply for interest subsidised study loan between Thursday 1st March and Friday 15th June 2012. Students aged between 18 and 30 may apply, provided that the academic course they will be following is not offered in Malta.
The loan amount ranges from €10,000 to €30,000 repayable over a maximum term of 10 years. The facility includes a maximum holiday on capital repayments of 5 years, depending on the duration of the academic course being followed.
Applicants who are selected by the Credentials Committee will benefit from a subsidy of 3.1% p.a. during the moratorium period of the loan sanctioned by APS Bank Ltd with students paying only 1%. The savings through subsidised interest can be substantial. For instance, on a loan of €15,000 over a period of 5 years, the student will be saving as much as €2,325 in terms of subsidised interest.
Students specialising in the disciplines identified by the YSSS are encouraged to apply within the time frame indicated. Although all students are invited to apply under the scheme, preference will be given to those students wishing to pursue studies in the following areas: Aerospace, Health & Biotechnology, ICT, Digital Games Production, High Value Added Manufacturing, Specialised Management, Environment, Agriculture & Marine Studies, Youth Work, Sport, Nature Conservation, and Specialised Restoration.
Application forms are available from APS Bank branches, Agenzija Zghazagh, within the Parliamentary Secretariat for Youth and Sport in Santa Venera and from APS Bank’s Website www.apsbank.com.mt.
Applications are to be submitted together with the required documentation by hand to Agenzija Zghazagh, Annex to Casa Leoni, St. Joseph High Road, Santa Venera by Friday 15th June 2012 till noon.
