The Federation for Hunting and Conservation (FKNK) said that it is to take part in meetings in the coming few days with senior officials from the Office of the Prime Minister and with the Minister of Environment, Dr. Mario DeMarco. FKNK said that it has also sent a letter to the Prime Minister, Dr. Lawrence Gonzi, requesting that a meeting may be arranged.

FKNK said it “seeks clarification from the Government’s with its position on the spring hunting season, as well as autumn trapping for plovers, quail and thrush.”

“It is hoped that the outcome of these meetings with the Government will lead to the consolidation of all of its promises made to the Maltese and Gozitan hunters and trappers, as well as their families since 2002,” FKNK concluded.
