Qala man given suspended sentence for jewellery theftThe Gozo Court this morning sentenced 31-year-old Jason Paul John Xerri of Qala, to a 2-year jail sentence, suspended for 4 years and a fine of €50 for the theft of 5 gold rings during a robbery which took place in Victoria on Monday morning.

Jason Xerri, pleaded not guilty to the charges, which also included among others, wearing a mask as a disguise, and resisting arrest.
