The Local Council elections took place in Malta and Gozo yesterday.

The ballot boxes were taken to the Gozo Sports Centre for counting and the results for Gozo are now finalised

The Eight localities in Gozo and twenty seven in Malta which were held elections yesterday selected new local councils for a four-year term.

Nadur (PN) Joseph Sultana Mayor. Councillors: PN Paul Buttigieg, Victor Grech. PL Carmen Said and Mario Natoli.

Qala (PL) Clint Camilleri Mayor. Councillors: PL – Paul Buttigieg & Jesmnd Borg. PN – Paul Buttigieg & Victor Grech.

San Lawrenz (PN) Anthony Formosa Mayor. Councillors: PN Anthony Cassar Michelna Mercieca. PL – Giovanni Mercieca & Rose Vella.

Xaghra (PL) Joseph Cordina Mayor. Councillors: PL- Joseph Cordina, Aaron Agius, Christian Zammit and Victor Zammit. PN – Joseph Attard, Kevin Cutajar and Maria Grima.
