“The Planning Authority should make it clear to the public on its strategy for Comino,” left think-tank Organisation Zminijietna said.

In a statement, Zminijietna also said that it endorses the campaign initiated by Moviment Graffitti against the proposed development Comino project.

Zminijietna went on to say that it is “highly concerned that the Planning Authority does not have a clear strategy on how to safeguard the sustainability and ecology of the Island of Comino. Private entities are being allowed to operate freely without taking care of the ecology of the Island.”

Zminijietna said that it welcome the position taken by Labour MEP, Alex Saliba against the proposed Comino project.

“We urge the Labour MEP to also put pressure on the Government to introduce laws to safeguard the island of Comino from unsustainable tourism projects,” it said.
