The Gozo University Group said today that it welcomes the news of the new post of Pro-Rector for the Gozo Campus and that the “University intends to offer a wider range of services to all Gozitan students and to better cater for their needs.”

The proposal of GUG for Gozitan students to have the possibility to do their examinations in Gozo will start with “a pilot initiative to organise some of the examinations of degree programmes in Gozo will be launched in June.”

GUG said that “this means that the wish of the 87% of the Gozitan students in GUG’s 2012 survey to have their exams in Gozo will be realised.”

GUG concluded by saying that it will be inviting the new Pro-Rector to meet and discuss the best way forward and to explore the means to facilitate the life of the Gozitan students and to expand the services the Gozo Campus offers including to achieve full-time course in Gozo.”
