Sunday morning’s entertainment in the Villa Rundle Gardens for Lejlet Lapsi Notte Gozitana, started off at 9am with performances by Gozitan folk groups in the amphitheatre.

The Sinnet Folk Group of Sannat gave the first performance. This was then followed by a musical show presented by the Gozo Church School students, entitled ‘Ghawdex u Grajjietu.’ The musical entertainment finished with the Menhir Folk Group of Qala.The crowds were large, despite the cloudy and windy weather, with everyone enjoying the shows that were a riot of colourful costumes.

There were also animated areas for children, including cartoon characters, face painters, balloon modelers and puppet shows and traditional games, to name just a few.

The Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, accompanied the Prime Minister Dr Gonzi and Mrs Gonzi on their visits to various activities held during Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

The Minister also expressed her satisfaction on yet another successful conclusion of a Lejlet Lapsi Notte Gozitana edition.

The Minister thanked all those who participated especially the visitors who attended and made this years addition another memorable event.

Sadly Lejlet Lapsi Notte Gozitana 2012 had to conclude earlier than expected with the postponement of this evening’s finale musical, ‘Stella and Leone,’ due to the inclement weather conditions.
